What an Indian Village's Beauty

Village’s Beauty, Village’s Beauty,
Oh! What an Indian Village’s Beauty!
Its green everywhere, all-around,
Top to bottom, sky to the ground!

The huge hills, the nippy breeze,
The dusty roads, the woody pike!
Huts made of mud, bamboo to build shelter,
That’s their tower, that’s their cover!

Farmers farming, Peasants planting,
Children dancing, Singing song!
It’s their routine, it’s their living,
It’s their duty all along!

Housewives cooking delicious ‘roties’,
Carry them to the farm of their hubbies.
Villagers bathing in the cool brimming river,
There is no shiver, there is no quiver!

Grannies recites fairy’s tale at night
Magic wand of Fairy sparking bright!
Praiseworthy villagers toiling so hard,
Hence life to them is simple reward!
